Hydrosol

Floral water

Lavender hydrosol soothes; its transforming quality “washes away” tense nerves and emotional blocks. It is a balm for tension in the solar plexus area, when nervousness disrupts digestion and causes exhaustion.

Healing properties and uses:

Astringent, cleansing, healing, refreshing and regenerative effects on the skin: acne, eczema, nappy rash, wounds, redness, sunburn, itching, shaving rash, lice repellent.

Spasmolytic and analgesic: menstrual cramps, joint and muscle pain.

Anti-stress effects: nervousness, restlessness, exhaustion.

Sedative: insomnia, difficulty falling asleep, jet lag.

Recommendations:

If your baby has trouble sleeping, add one to two tablespoons of lavender hydrosol to the bath and also spray the room with it.

Face – hydrosols are an excellent companion for any skin type. They hydrate, refresh, tone and soothe. You can apply to a cotton pad to cleanse or use a spray on the face. Always apply under cream, facial oil or serum. Can be used repeatedly. For very dry skin, spray a layer, let it absorb slightly, apply serum, then spray the face again and apply cream or oil.

Bath – adding hydrosol to the bath lets you relax in the scent of lavender.

Make-up remover – on a cotton pad with a good-quality oil it removes eye make-up well. You can also use it as a compress on tired eyes.

Hair – hydrosols are great for combing and supporting hair.
